Mount a microscope on your iPhone

Have you ever dreamed of owning a handy microscope? Even better, one that you can fit on your phone?

Bodelin Technologies, based in Oregon, USA, has launched a lab-quality microscope called ProScope Micro Mobile. This is a professional handheld microscope used with iPad, iPhone, iPad mini, iPod touch and many other mobile devices. Bodelin has created special sleeves for each of these devices on which the microscope is mounted.

The microscope, placed over the device’s camera lens, helps you to view objects. You can also view slides placed on any backlit source. The microscope has adjustable LEDs to illuminate the selected object. The in-built optical lens provides 20X to 80X magnification. With a lithium ion battery, you can charge the microscope for two hours using a USB cable and use for five hours continuously.

Bodelin had earlier designed and manufactured teleprompters for Apple devices and other mobile tablets. ProScope Micro Mobile will be shipped from May 1 in USA and worldwide.
