Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ coming to India next week

Chinese handset vendor, Alcatel is all set to announce its OneTouch Idol X+ octa core smartphone for India. The company has issued invites to media groups for an event in Delhi on May 29 (next week) where it would formally announced the launch of Idol X+ in the country.

The OneTouch Idol X+ will be up against a slew of handsets like Panasonic P81, Gionee Elife E7 Mini, Micromax Canvas Knight, and Intex Aqua Octa. Alcatel however has not revealed its price yet.
The Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ features a 5 inch touchscreen with full HD resolution. This display has Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection and Oleophobic coating. There is a 13.1 megapixel camera and an LED flash in the rear panel of Idol X+ while a 2 megapixel camera is in its front. This rear camera is said to be able to capture full HD videos in 30 frames per second.

The handset runs on Android Jelly Bean operating system and comes with 2 GHz octa core processor. This dual SIM smartphone has Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, WiFi, micro USB 2.0, and FM radio. It comes in 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage option and both the versions have 2 GB RAM. This phone has a 2500 mAh battery that claims to provide 16 hours of 3G talktime.
